Mary Funk was born with a writer's passion. Her two fondest childhood memories were: 1) the day her mother gave her the family's old Remington typewriter gathering dust in the basement; and 2) the day she won her first writing contest in the eighth grade with an essay she typed on that old typewriter. She went on to earn a degree in English, Advertising and Public Relations. She's written extensively as a creative copywriter and business/marketing writer and earned numerous creative writing and marketing awards along the way. She's also logged in many years of formal and informal study in metaphysical principles and theories. Mary belongs to the Virginia Writers and to the Virginia Beach Writers Group. She resides in Virginia Beach, Va. She's long since traded in the Remington typewriter for a laptop computer and tablet.
